Summary

This paper approaches the implementation of open educational resources (OER) in higher education with a critical perspective.

Veletsianos addresses the question of what the values of OER for inclusion and equity was. Asking this question was inspired by the growing assumptions that OER indeed supported student's learning.

The author, however, points out the systemic injustices within Higher Education that cannot be addressed by OER alone. More so, OER can potentially reflect and reinforce inequities.
